Steve Memering Working on the Mural

The picture shows the artist Steve Memering painting a piece of the mural that is being painted on a wall of the Sacramento Art Complex in Mid-Town Sacramento, Calif.

The mural project has be designed to have many different sections so that individual artists can contribute work into the mural.

The picture shows Steve multi-tasking: He is holding a paint brush, an iPhone with headphones, and his glasses while he is posing for the camera. Behind Steve is the mural, and you can see where he is painting his pug, Sophie on the wall, with his photographic reference taped on the wall to the left.

Chewy

Barry Smith is the owner of the Sacramento Art Complex, and Barry's dog is named Chewy.

It was decided to paint a mural on a large outside walk of the Sacramento Art Complex, and Steve Memering decided that Chewy would be one of the subjects of this mural! Pictured is a close up of Chewy as rendered by Memering. Memering is including other dogs, images and landmarks of Sacramento on this mural, and we will post additional pictures from time to time.

Chewy is a eight month old chocolate standard poodle.
